The aim of examination conducted by PMDC, National Examination Board, for foreign medical graduates is to evaluate them for having the basic medical knowledge. The examination is conducted twice a year.

The examination is not so tough, and can easily be passed, but some students get failed despite they have prepared it well, and infact even some brilliant students can't successfully attempt the examination. This isn't that they have less knowledge than others, but they are not well aware of how to attempt the examination papers, as theory examination paper consists of MCQs only.
